Have you had a moment to look at it? Is there any way to downgrade to previous version so I can activate the forum again? It's been down for 3 days now :(

afraid not... bad timing, but I am sick today and Andy is away on vacation...

why is the forum down?  I thought you were just missing pagination???

If you want to downgrade to the earlier version  you will need to reload the db with the backup you made before you upgraded as we suggest...   there is no way to download the db...  well at least normally...  what version are you wanting to go back to?

At the moment, quite in the dark as this is a one off occurrence...  Perhaps go to forum - integration - page and permalink and try enable the strict wp api option...

Pagination is used a lot on my site, I noticed this problem first when I saw in my stats that pageviews had went down with 40% for the site.

5.3.1 worked perfectly for me but since it took a day or so for me to discover this I would lose forum posts made during that time if I would use the backup :(

I tried the strict api option but no difference. I tried with the wordpress default theme as well and also there the "next page" pagination disappears when the forum is activated.

Can it be a conflict with another plugin? I've tried disabling many of the ones I use but no luck yet.

it could be, but again, the forum plugin isnt really even loaded on non forum pages...

so you are too many versions behind and would have to have a db backup to downgrade...

if you want to test the plugin conflict question, try disabling all of them, not just many... what does the pagination?

I found the conflicting plugin, it was CaPa Protect (http://wordpress.org/plugins/capa/). I'm gonna look if I can find another plugin that does the same job and try with that instead.
