I've checked the permissions and I'm able to change them from Cpanel.  Can you help me figure out why I get this message?

Thanks in advance.

this normally means that server permissions were too restrictive at install for the plugin to create them...  so you need to adjust the permissions so we can, or manually create them...

they should be such that the web user can create them... check the gid and uid ownership stuff too...

had hosting company look at it.  they changed my php to suPHP ... not sure what it is, but it fixed the permission problems... they then had to run a script to further change permissions that were not compatable with suPHP.

Short answer. Problem solved.

thanks so much.
