I got the plugin does not have a valid header error when I tried to upload simple-press 5.2.2
This is a screenshot of my plugins which were all deactivated when I tried uploading.

wpresstic.com is website on Wordpress 3.5.
Please advise,
Nick
Ok, now after I got the above error, I pressed back button on browser and went to plugin library. I was able to activate the plugin 1st, then click install

When I clicked install it gave below option and was installed successfully.

After installation I was taken to this screen:

I went to upload plugins and this screen below, which showed plugins I previously had installed when I first tried installing simple-press a few weeks ago, but came into errors, thus I am now re-installing.

I deleted all of these plugins, and used the plugin uploader to upload the file uploader plugin below:

Once I tried to activate this plugin, it took me to the below page, which causes errors:
http://gyazo.com/99ca71f5fee89.....cdbf820cb0
1. The remove button does not function
2. The hover menu drop down no longer works on the leftsidebar of the admin panel
3. Links in the Forum tab do not work and all clicks lead to above page.
None of my other plugins are activated, while this has happened.
Just for information the error from your first post above is a WP bug that comes up- when the plugin you are uploading has more than 1 nested sub0folder. But - as you found - it does actually install the plugin OK.
Judging from your last comment ('Once I tried to activate this plugin, it took me to the below page, which causes errors') I was rather hoping to actually see errors but the image was something of a disappointment in that regard.
So I will have to guess. Go and take a look at the /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/ folder and check the folder name of the 'plupload' folder. Does it have a '1' on the end or any digit? If so please remove the number. It should just be 'plupload'.
