I created the forum, added my group and forum, but cannot create topic. It redirects me to home page.

Also, it worked briefly two days ago, for about 24  hours, then stopping working. Weird.

Will you need the link? If so, I will have to give to you privately.

**Now I can get into the actual forums, but cannot click 'add a topic'

I apologize

No caching plugins

I did realize even though the forum occasionally appears, I have never been able to 'create topic'.  I just now looked at forum, and it is back to redirecting me to home page.

I deactivated Wishlist so you can see forum.

I did troubleshoot per the page referenced in another post (re: jquery).

There are two problems.

Clearly something is performing redirection. if you look in the browser status bar when you hover over a forum, the urls are being created correctly - just being butchered when requested. The two most common reasons are a redirection plugin (like 'Permalink Redirect') or the Yoast SEO plugin. Do you have either or any like it active?

Your site is also throwing a javascript error but I am unsure where it is coming from. It is sending jQuery an unrecognised expression ([href$=.mp3] to be precise) which is then causing other jQuery calls to fail. This is not connected to the redirection but is causing things not to work. I just have no idea what might be sending that expression to jQuery but clearly something to do with mp3 files...

oh this is great info, thank you. it may not solve it simply b/c I am unfamiliar with jquery, but I can figure this out. I do have a redirect, do not have yoast, and my client went in creating duplicate pages. They want to save money by doing stuff themselves, yet end up spending more money for me to fix. lol

At any rate, I will let you know if it works. Thanks!

Is the redirection a plugin? If so then it is usually possible to exclude certain urls from it's clutches.

yes, the redirection is a plugin. I actually had two redirections, each a different plugin. I have no idea why/who added that. But disabling both didn't do anything

i think i just fixed it. you stated something about .mp3. well, i had a plugin WPaudio. disabled it, I was able to add topic.  Would you mind checking behind me? Just that you have no issues
