Support Forum
Hello All,
Thanks for the great work on simple:press - I've used pretty much all available forums in the past and the integration with wordpress and feature-set of SP make it the best choice for us.
I have a question, we're using the X-theme (http://theme.co/x/) and we've noticed that whenever a pop-up window comes up in SP that part of the header is overwritten by the header in X-theme because of the position it comes in at. How can we change the settings in SP's theme (using Reboot Child) to position the pop-up 10 or more pixels down from the top as default? Thank you for your help.
I've enclosed a screenshot example of the pop-up issue:

This is a real problem actually. There is no directive you can assign to the popup dialog to give it a max 'top' position. We have the same issue here on this site because of the fixed header area. So sadly - at this point in time - I do not have an answer I am afraid. But I am looking for one as we need it too.
The only helpful hint I can give is that the esc key will close the dialog as well.
There are other items affected by fixed header - like where the editor displays when you click on 'reply' or where a specific posts displays when in the url. Nothign can naturally or automatically into account a fixed header. if you go to the forum admin > Integration > page and permalink there is a setting - bottom right - where you can compensate for these display discrepancies. But no - can not be applied to the popup dialog.

Okay, thanks for the info, hopefully there will be some time of fix for this in the future, perhaps I'll need to apply the fix to X-theme to compensate.
I think I read somewhere that you can choose to have SP bring up a new page instead of bring up a pop-up. If that's the case then I can just link to a new page, such as for the Usage Policy and Privacy Policy pop-ups. That would at least get me by for now.
Thanks,
Joseph
