Possible to reassign posts to a different user?

I have this problem.  Back when I (attempted) the migration of my Simple Press Forum from one website to another, it broke.  Long story.  Anyway - the post content was ultimately not lost, but I only have it in a CSV spreadsheet.  All the post content, along with the OPs names, the dates, etc - all of it is there.

I'm wondering if there is any way for me to manually add it back.  I don't care so much about the dates, but I would love to attribute the posts to the original authors, all of which are still members of my site - now in its new home.  However, on the database side, they all have new member IDs, etc... so a simple import will likely not do it.

Anyone have any ideas?

once you get the posts on the new site, you can reassign posts to other users using the forum tools...  it would be post by post though...

Can you tell me a little more about how I would do that? Thanks for your help.
