Hi there!

I seem to have a similar issue as this poster here: https://simple-press.com/suppo.....ven-admin/

This was brought to my attention today before I handled any updates.  Noticing there were SP plugins and a theme to update, I did all that plus WP, WP plugins to see if that could be the issue. But they are still not working.  I also gave this a shot too but no luck

https://simple-press.com/docum.....-update/

Could you please take a look?

Thanks!

Hey Meredith,

I can't check the buttons themselves as I don't have access to post anything.

It doesn't look unformatted which is good.. I am seeing a conflict on the page 'No element found' with something called ngx_pagespeed_beacon. Not sure what it is or what it could be part of, but really should be resolved. Is everything updated? WP and WP plugins and themes too?

Did you try the tooltip fix in the post you referenced?

Yes, I did all of that. That reference is nginx, I'll check on this and see if it has anything to do with this.

I'll Be back...

This is the error:

Uncaught Error: `selector` option must be specified when initializing tooltip on the window.document object!  http://www.yoga-teacher-traini.....js?ver=4.4

1.) There was just a recent update this morning added for SP, we're now at: 5.6.1 didn't seem to fix problem.

2.) I turned off the cache plugins, still not luck.

3.) While the reboot theme did already have the fix in place for the css as mentioned on this page: https://simple-press.com/docum.....an-update/ I went ahead and manually added it to my reboot child theme just because.

The strange thing is that the button will work, then it doesn't which makes it hard to pinpoint the problem ( well for me anyways). So as of right now, the button works, later I can visit any of the pages again and same problem.  Will be sending the link above to the developer, see if they can provide any assistance.

Thanks!

Meredith

That error is in gravity forms. Actually it is probably a conflict more than an error - I am guessing some stuff from GF is being loaded on the forum page when, perhaps. it is not needed. Can you try, for diagnostic purposes, deactivating GF to see if that resolves things and if it does we can try and work out a solution.

Now I am going to look a perfect idiot of you do not even have GF installed .... 🙂

Oh, there's no gravity forms plugin used here.

Not sure how it repaired itself last time but it's happening again 🙁

I know the first one was probably a lockout but the other items are hard to pin down.

I guess I'm posting to see if this is now a know problem that has a quickie solution 🙂

Just in from the client:

1. Recently I was trying to log in to your forum acct. But the last password you gave me would not push through. Also it blocked me from visiting the site.

Today she was able to get in and here is her message:

2. I read I few new posts on the forum. I tried to add reply but I can't. Share buttons and upper right icons are functional.

Also, Cobalt was able to sign in but not post.

Strangely, Ishrattasleem was able to post today.

 Thank you!!

Unfortunately I'm still seeing the same conflict 'Error: `selector` option must be specified when initializing tooltip on the window.document object!'.. And without fixing this it's hard to look at anything else as a cause, especially as it's not a consistent problem.

Not really sure what else to suggest.. Andy or Steve any ideas?

kind of lost bubble what is going on... users are having issues logging in?  this is not even simple press action - its a wp function...  if some can and some cannot, might want to look at server...

@ike tooltips seem to work for me - at least on main forum page...

unfortunately, we cannot try to post since we dont have an account...  any other button I try seems to function fine...

is this issue with specific users and specific browser?  mobile or desktop?

Hi There!

The login was not related to SP, it was an IP block. I just left the entire post for reference.

1.) I'll check on the devices used.

2.) It's an open forum to join, would it help if I created a test account for you?

Thank you!

Meredith
