When clicking on the Edit button or Edit Title in the toolbox (user has permission to edit, also tried with admin user), it simply reloaded the page, rather than opening an editing textbox. Found the following in server error log:

PHP Notice:  Undefined index: sfkeywords

PHP Notice:  Undefined variable: title

Please help! Thx!

yeah those are notices, not errors... and harmless...  corrected as we find them though...

so when editing, an edit box will not open per se...  the page will reload and at the bottom will be your editor with the post content ready for editing... so that is not happening?  asking because you seem to imply not expecting a page reload...

if its reloading but not allowing editing, please check and post the url for the edit button... its a js submit, so could be conflict...

does your server run mod_security??

Page did reload but no editor box appeared.  Yes in the source code I can see the js submit.  Not running mod_security.

Re the post editing function -- still getting the same issue that the edit button simply reload the page without the editor window showing up, after deactivating the poll plugin for now (thought it might be related as both were having issue).

One test user mentioned that she initially could edit posts. So there might be a time when the editing function was working. Then some new config conflicted with it or something. I recalled adding new smilies only. And removing those added smileys did nothing to help so now I have them added back again.

Test login account in your PM. Many thanks!

It seems to have something to do with the cdn (is it cdn???  actually spelled cnd) you are running and serving a cache page versus reloading the page with edit functionality...

all your displayed sites are xx.cnd.org... but all your links that go to are xx.yyyy.org... and between the changeover to the cdn, the query args ($_GET) parameters seem to be stripped off...

having a hard time understand why on earth its doing all that redirection...

Great detective work, Mr. Papa.

We are running WP multisite domain mapping plugin to give the forum it's own domain name, so the site has two names, one from the mapped domain, and one from the original multisite setup.  The new mapped domain was going to be the forum's only domain name so we had old name direct as part of the WP multisite domain mapping plugin option. However if this is breaking the editing function we have to allow both domains to work at the same time then.

Thanks for all the help!

Looks like the domain name is hard coded into the SP database? We are trying to switch over the primary domain from the alias domain. Is there a way to do it short of uninstall and reinstall SP on the domain?

At this SP support forum, the Smileys are available when clicking the Smileys button below the editing window. How do we do the same? Right now for our site they are all displayed rather than hidden behind the button.

Thx!

after you change it, go to forum - tools - integration... you can reset the permalink there the forum uses...
