Hello.
I seem to be having an issue with the post time stamps. I have set the correct time zone in the WP general settings, and sometimes, when I load the forum, the time stamps are correct. At other times, they are about 8 hours off. The individual posts will change times back and forth. Obviously, this can cause some confusion. Am I missing something? The address to the site is http://www.epochstrife.com.

It depends on a few things and how it has been set. For example using UTC is no longer a good idea.

I just checked to be sure, but I have configured the time zone settings as described in the codex. Any other thoughts? I understand it being wrong all the time, but I don’t get why it would change randomly.
Edit: Oops. After looking again, I realized that the default user time zone is UTC, which doesn’t make sense to me since the wordpress timezone was set to Chicago before SimplePress was installed… So, That makes sense I guess.
no it doesn’t really. The default – in the code – is to set it to the WP setting.
Once changed it is only going to effect new posts not existing ones so we will just need to wait and see if things get ironed out.
