How do you set simple press so that you can post just in the created group. I seem to have to create a forum inside the group. This also does serve a purpose but i would like the option to have users just post in the group.
posts occur in topics… topics occur in forums… forums occur in groups… its a hierarchy… a group is just a container of forums… so yes, you must create a forum with in the group…
if you only want one forum, you can omit the group level… forum – options – general display settings…

I guess I dont see what the issue with a group container is?? at least one group is required… what is the use case for not wanting a group? what does it save? sorry, asking because in 7 years of Simple Press (and hundreds of thousands of downloads) no one has ever mentioned it before… so trying to understand…
sorry, meant to add that if you have a single group, with your forums in that group, it looks like the one you referenced.. except you will see a group description (which you could remove)… but the main page would look the same – a list forums…
