When trying to submit a topic or a reply, it does not show up until I log out and log back in. What can I do to fix this?

sound like you are running some kind of caching plugin??? if so, you cannot cache the forum page and must tell your caching plugin to ignore the forum page for any cache type in use...

I did have a caching plugin installed, but it was not activated. I went ahead and deleted it. Would you mind checking to see if there are any other plugins that might be interfering? Also, is there a caching plugin that you can recommend that I can choose pages to not cache? http://nm-mcpa.org/forum/ it is a private forum but if you need to log in you can use forum-guest and password: password

Well I just paid a visit and left a test post in the thread that talks about the replies not working and mine was there when the page reloaded just as it should be.
So - is this a problem shared by a lot of people or is it just this one user?
A lot of people seem to get on well with wp-cache or total-cache. I am afraid they have always been more trouble than they are worth in my own experience but hosting companies like them. Both those allow for page exclusions.
