Gotcha. I still havent added the Subscribe button so that my users can subscribe to forums. I definitely want that because my users wanted to have that ability and BBPRESS didnt have it because its a garbage plugin lol

How can I get email notifications of PM's?

you enable them on forum - private messaging - options... and of course, have your email configured on server... wp actually send the emails, but we tell them too...
users can also opt out of receiving an email in their profile...
