Hi

Today after updating simple press everything broke even my theme.

My mistake was that i updated together with another plugin and i did not see anywhere the upgrade database option

now i get sql errors everywhere in forum

It looks like perhaps the database upgrades did not take place. Probably the best thing to do would be to restore to a database backup and run the upgrade again. Are you able to do that?

so i must restore to previous version of db and also update ftp with the previous version of simple press files also?

i would like to avoid i my previous backup is 2 days before and i have some submissions that i must reinstall

i forgot to say that after the update the upgrade appeared but it ended with

Upgrade Aborted
current build: 10756
{"status":"success","type":"upgrade","section":10774,"response":"Build upgrade section 10774 executing. Status: success
","error":""}

now in my error log  i have

SELECT error_count FROM wp_sferrorlog WHERE keycheck="1864

and many other

thanks!

so it looks like the upgrade did not run... more than likely another plugin is interfering and hijacking the ajax request and response causing the failure...  but oddly, now you say the forum is accessible and does not have an update waiting?

well, you wont be able to fix it with it disabled...  and what do you mean it broke functions of your site?

with it running, what did you see in the admin?  is it still prompting you for an upgrade?

No i think 5.3.3. but the previous number if i am not wrong.

I think that the only solution is to restore the previous database....

we can try the upgrades manually if you like, but if you dont know what version, will have to ask some more questions and figure out the last upgrade that did work...
