Support Forum
I have a similar problem to the one described here:
https://simple-press.com/suppo.....-to-5-1-3/
My forum is setup here:
http://www.interactbuilder.com/forum
My forums are setup to be available to guests and to members, but right now nobody can see the forums. You will see on the page it says:
The requested group does not exist or you do not have permission to view it
I tried resetting my cache but this hasn't helped either. Looks like there's a problem with permission sets. I clicked on Manage Permission sets and there are some duplicate entries. Please see enclosed screen shot.
Please help, I'm not sure what to try next.
I guess at this point, I would go to forum - permissions - reset permissions and set everything back to default... then go through and customize the permissions...
side note - wow, didnt think anyone was running that ancient, ugly blue admin stuff any more...

It's the admin so I wasn't too worried about the look, I just upgraded from 4.5 so I'm not even familiar with changing the admin look and feel, would love some guidance.
If I set everything back to default do I have to reassign all my users the permissions again? I have 1,500 users not sure if this can be done with one step (they are all the same permission level - standard)
no, you are resetting the permissions, not the usergroups... so you would afterwards want to go to forum - permissions - manage permissions and just make sure the permission sets there have the permissions set up the way you want...
as to admin, we used that blue years ago, so yeah if you kept upgrading and didnt choose one of the new options, you would still get that... go to forum - admins - your admin options and select the blue or grey color option to match the wp admin color option you have set up...

doubled the permissions?? just dont get that...
go to your database... the sfauths table... see what you have there... remove any duplicates...
