Not easy to set up trials of plugins like that but if you give me a link to the membership plugin in use I can look at the code to see if the WP hook is being used.

If you want i can pm you a wordpress login to the wordpress so you can check it out for both plugins and see if my forum settings are correct? the plugins in use are:

'BP Auto Activate Autologin Redirect To Profile On Signup'

'OneAll Social Login'

If - when you created a user via the WP new user panel as suggested - it worked and could use the forum - then that still suggests a membership issue. But neither of those two look like membership plugins - although I don't know either so am not sure. What membership plugin are you actually using and can I have a link to it. It is the code I need to look at.

Or are you signing people up with BuddyPress? If so is this an older version of BuddyPress?

Well yes i want you to have accesses to this so i will make a admin user so that you can see the both plugins and buddypress. People sign up using the buddypress forum and the account gets activated by 'BP Auto Activate Autologin Redirect To Profile On Signup' without having to go to the there email and activate the profile. When they sign up using the 'OneAll Social Login' this gets the info of the social network so profile can be made. So i will pm you that admin wp user so you can check out the problems and if you find them can you fix them so that when there is an update that it does not get lost? Thank you again so much for your help.

Looking at the code of the 'bp-auto-activate-auto-login' plugin - which appears to be - with it's link to BuddyPress - how users register on your site - then I can find NONE of the standard WordPress action calls that are in place explicitly to inform other plugins of actions being taken - in this case a new user registration. Thus probably explains why new users on your site are not automatically becoming forum members. If we do not know new members exist then there is little we can do I am afraid.

hmm that's odd do you think that in that case that its buddypress its self that isn't executing the code right?

no, its a plugin for buddypress...  so makes no guarantee of following wp api or standards like bp itself...

However - at one time BuddyPress itself was not calling the right actions either but this was several versions ago. And this IS why I asked you at some point in this thread what version you were using- which I do not believe you ever told me. But - as I say - it was a while back.

Let's do one thing at a time. Look at my post above (#4). You imply this 'OneAll Social Login' plugin is to 'sign up people' so does that mean new users? I ask because the plugin name just says 'Login'.

If it does perform the registration then does it also use the correct WordPress API and actions to inform other plugins about new users? Try adding a new user through the WP Add user panel and see of that user can successfully use the forum.

Yes 'OneAll Social Login' does make new users. I would guess it does it wrong becuase they are not able to post in the forum but like I showed earlier in the posts I did try adding new users through WP Add user pannel and they can successfully use the forum. So that's why I suspect that it is either Buddypress Version 1.7.2, OneAll Social Login plugin or Auto Activate plugin. It would be great if you could login to my site with the information I gave you in the pm so you can trouble shoot it on my backend.

I can only repeat what I have said already. I do not think there is anything I can do by logging in to your site. This needs to be taken up with the other plugin authors who seem to not be abiding by the WP api. Whichever plugin is finally responsible for creating new users needs to be corrected. We can't do that.
