I have some issues with the smiley/lock topic etc area of the forums on reply since upgrading. I've tried switching SP themes, disabling all other wordpress plugins and also switching my site to one of the default wordpress themes and the problem remains.
Attached screenshot shows how the area in question looks.

OK, so selecting the "Integrated Editor Toolbar" option under General Display/Settings fixed the layout problem but my smileys still aren't working when one clicks on them (I thought the two probs were linked but I guess maybe not..)

Wow it shouldn't display like THAT! Is that a custom theme or one of ours as I would like to check up on that... And what editor are you using as well would be useful to know.
Now to the smileys. Well I just discovered that we seem to have a similar problem here and it looks like the tinymce editor is probably the cause. I have opened a ticket for an urgent investigation so hopefully we will have a fix for it asap.

I had a slightly modified theme initially but I switched to the default theme which didn't help
Using TinyMCE editor (all my SP plugins are the most recent updates)

Its always useful when it also happens to us! Makes it easier to trace. I have marked this up as important to look at quickly.

update to tinymce pushed out to fix the smiley issue... figures that I always enter smileys typing the shorthand code and never use the buttons...
