Hi guys.

I just moved t site to a new server and something strange happened.

The dashboard in WP is totally messed up. The admin bar on the left end isn't working properly, I cannot open any widget position, the buttons NEW POST and NEW TOPIC don't work...a real mess...

As soon as I switch off Simple Press, everything works fine.

How can I fix it?

Thank you.

Stefano

new server is running php 5?  any other changes?  same domain?  browser cache cleared?

have you checked the server error logs for any more info?

If you happen to be using GoDaddy hosting (Uggggg) Set it to parse php as php5.

I'm sorry but i can't remember where it is located in the hosting control panel, but it cured a bunch of WordPress problems for me.

I have my blog on Host Gator wink

The site is not hosted on GoDaddy and I haven't changed anything.

The server runs php 5.

I checked the error log and there are quite a few...

The most common one is: Warning:  call_user_func_array() [<a href='function.call-user-func-array'>function.call-user-func-array</a>]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'll_credit_link' was given in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/******/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 405

that looks like another plugin error and not from simple press...

so nothing else changed but the server?

wp is 3.3+ right?

WP is 3.3.2

On the "old" site I had the previous version and everything was working fine.

I have switched off all the plugins and switched them back on one by one. The problem appears when switching on SP.

I have overwritten all the files in WP-admin and SP as well and nothing changed...still the same errors...cry

previous version? 4.5?  overwritten?  you do know the old version was in a directory called simple-forum...  now its in a directory called simple-press... and completely different...  you should have removed simple-forum and uploaded a brand new simple-press... you might try reuploading...

Sorry!

Previous version of WP, SP was just the same.

I was thinking about backing up the SP tables, uninstall everything and reinstall it.

What do you think? Is it supposed to work? I don't want to lose 6 months of topics...cry

how did you do that??  you cannot install it with the wp plugin installer... it does not support plugins that have multiple directory levels in it...   you need to ftp it for the first time to your server... once installed, it has a built in updater with wp...
