Yes Steve, the db tables match.
I just checked with Firebug and it shows no error this time.
I have uninstalled SP completely and upload it again. As soon as I activate it, the problems start.
I switched off every single plugin as well, but it still doesn't work. Absurd...
As Fido suggested, I need to ask my hosting if there is a mod_security activated. Could that cause the problem?
P.S.= I just sent an email to the hosting and I'm waiting for a reply. I will keep you updated. Thanks again.
Do you have access to your sites error logs? If so look see if there is anything from SP in there. If so email your host and ask them to white list it.
I would request white listing the SP plugin, and sp-resources directories.

yes, either get him to whitelist simple press or do something like: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/.....p?t=888019

OK, it was my intention to redesign the website completely, therefore I decided to start.
I have installed WP in a subdomain, installed SP and all went well. So I guess the problem was related to something I cannot figure out.
The only problem now is, the forum is not showing up in the page where it should...
The page "Forum" has been created, in "Integration" everything seems fine, but nothing shows up.
The page "Forum" is completely empty.
I'm getting headache...
completely empty means a total white page? no content at all??? or do you just mean no forum content???
on forum - integration - page and permalink, play with the display multiple and display in loop options... you may have a wp theme doing odd things...

ah, using the Gantry Framework by any chance? only one we know so far that does not use wp_head...
but good news indeed!

Steve, the problems seem neverending! hahaha
Yes, I use Gantry on the new site I am setting up. I have installed SP, uploaded the database and "nearly" everything went fine.
Two things are not working:
- When I land on the page FORUM, a red small window pops up at the top of the page with "Invalid database query". It happens on that page only. I checked all the settings, switch every WP plugin on and off and nothing changed. But the worst part of it is, I cannot edit any member profile. The profile opens normally, but when I go to "Edit user profile" it only shows the tab "Buddies and adversaries", nothing else.
- Second problem, I have installed the plugin "Template Tags and Widgets". The only widget that I have available is "Recent forum posts", no others.
Do you have an idea about how to solve these issues? Everything else is working OK so far.
Thank you
We can get the widget question out of the way quickly. There is only the one widget currently but there are several more template tags and shortcodes available in that plugin. If you tell us what you are looking for we can point you in the right direction if one exists.
Can you run the page please that displays the Invalid Database Query and then immediately go to the forum admin > Toolbox > Error Log. The top entry will probably show the query error. Can you copy (just the one entry) and paste it into a reply here and we can see what the cause is.
