you could add this to the head tag:

but researching bit more not sure that will help since its the old browser version. I would try a temp switch to the default wp theme too and see if that clears it up...

I tried that too, I switched to the default WP theme but still nothing...

I posted on the RocketTheme forum as well and Cliff linked me this page:

https://simple-press.com/suppo.....es/page-3/

That post contains a link to an article written by Cliff here: http://www.rockettheme.com/mag.....-wordpress

I tried, but it doesn't work. In my "Page attributes" there is no "Template" at all. I am not good at all with this kind of stuff and I am sure I am doing something wrong.

I guess I need his help big time laugh

I fear you may be right. Sorry I can't personally help with IE issues.

Andy, I tried by deactivating every single plugin, Gantry included, and change template from Panacea to Twenty Eleven.

As soon as I get on the forum page, the errors come up.

Therefore I suppose it's a problem with Simple Press only, nothing to do with Gantry or any other plugin.

It happens in IE8 only. I checked with Safari, Chrome e Firefox and everything works fine.

Now, I checked the forum page using Firebug and I found out that the system is looking for the old URL (the subdomain where the site was installed before going live) in some file.

Here it is:

waitImage=new Image(32,32);waitImage.src='http://www.irsa-stringers.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/forum/resources/images/sp_Wait.png';
Warning:implode()[function.implode]:Invalid arguments passed in/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/*****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-startup/forum/sp-forum-framework.phpon line200
spjAutoUpdate("&sfnonce=a1d16062b7%spjpmupdate,http://http://www.test.irsa-stringers.com/index.php?sp_ahah=pm-manage&target=inbox&sfnonce=a1d16062b7","300000");});/**/

I checked everywhere but I am not able to find where it finds that test.irsa-stringers.com.

Try going to forum admin > options > global settings and turning OFF the option for Auto Update.

Interesting...

The error I saw in Firebug is no longer there. And the errors disappeared in IE8 as well. But it still doesn't load the forum template...

if you have resolved the error, have you done as that other gantry thread said? ie, turn on the ignore wp head action on forum - integration - page and permalink...

I tried everything, Steve.

I really do not know where to touch anymore.

The page "Forum" in IE8 is returning A LOT of errors! All Javascript stuff. cry

have you actually tried stripping things back to basics? use the Wp default theme and deactivate all plugins and then re-introducing them one at a time until it breaks?

I did, Andy. And the problems are still there. Therefore, it's not a conflict between Gantry and SP, or some plugin that is not working properly.

Even Cliff from Rocket Theme had a look and saw all these JS errors. If I switch off the plugins, some errors are still there, coming from SP.

So only God knows...

I suppose I have no other choice but leaving it the way it is. The forum is hidden, members only. I told them not to use IE8. They are all using Chrome, Firefox and Safari and are very happy. Everything works fine and very fast.

So let's forget about IE8.

Thank you anyway for your help. wink
