well, its a slightly different error now thanks for disabling the ssl to rule that out...
I am seeing about of network errors regarding tinymce and language... can you go to forum - components - editors and make the language you have entered if fr instead of fr_FR? wont be causing your issue but should be corrected...
I do see that you are running s2member also... I wonder if it could be 'blocking' the ajax request... doesnt seem likely since other ajax requests seem to be working...
strange.. the profile error is now dealing with plupload...but I dont see the plupload js loaded... are you using the plupload file upload plugin for sp?

maybe a couple other things you can look at...
forum - integration - page and permalink, turn off loading of forum js in footer...
verify that you theme has the required call to wp_footer() in the footer... the only thing in the footer is a message from s2member about security... does it have any kind of setting to force js loading in the header?

-About language, i've switched both wp_config and sp to 'fr' instead of 'fr_FR', also renammed again all mo file *-fr.mo
by the way about language, forum is in french, but as you can see in my screenshots, profile tabs still in english. I did not mention that, because this problem is less prior than the other actually discussed here.
-i've disabled for testing (now reactivated) s2member, it changed nothing.
-i've installed, but not activated all plugins, plupload plugin is disabled. I tryed for testing to activate it : same result
-regarding page and permaling settings page, before our discussion i made several tries with all checkbox with no success, i've finally unchecked all checkbox.
-regarding my theme, i've edited footer.php by my own. It doesn't contains any sensitive information so here its content :
<?php
/**
* @package WordPress
* @subpackage FAM
*/
?>
</div>
<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
</div>
<div id="footer">
Copyright © 2011 <a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a> | GameReco est une marque déposée, <a href="http://www.gamereco.com/tous-droits-reserves/">tous droits réservés</a>
<p align="right"><?php echo do_shortcode('[s2Member-Security-Badge v="1" /]'); ?></p>
<p><a href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">RSS GameReco</a></p>
<p><?php sf_pm_tag();?></p>
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</problem-with-post-edit-buttontml>
To finish, here the both errors, very often logged by SP :
file: /simple-press/forum/content/sp-common-view-functions.php
line: 51 function: sp_SectionStart Notice | Trying to get property of non-object |
||
16/03/2012
21:48:46 |
php | file: /simple-press/forum/content/sp-common-view-functions.php
line: 70 function: sp_SectionStart Notice | Trying to get property of non-object |
profile tabs are translated in forum - profiles - tabs and menus... since you can change and add them, they cannot be in the translation file...
the footer.php should have a wp_footer() call to it... possible it would be in sidebar...
was plupload active previously?
sorry, if asked before, but can you inquire with your host as to mod_security active?

wp_footer is called at the end of index.php theme.
index.php is loaded everytime thanks to permalink and a .htaccess section (that i've posted here).
plupload as never been activated (exception once few minutes before, just for testing)
here the list of activated plugins :
Blog Post Linking
Custom Profile Fields
Editor (TinyMCE - Rich Text)
Google XML Sitemap
Private Message System
Profile Display Control
Report Post
Subscriptions
Tags
Template Tags and Widgets
Topic Status
Watches
Who's Online
as i said, all other plugins are installed but not activated
regarding mod_security i think it is not activated, i'll confirm asap.
here the admins answer about mod_security :
Mod_Security is was compiled with your Apache configuration but there is no current rule set in place that I can see. I tried triggering it by accessing a domain that was resolving to your server using a URL that would trigger Mod-Security and nothing was blocked.
So it is installed on your server but it is not active from what I was able to see. Are you having trouble with a specific domain?
Regards,
active, eh... well, lets try something just to be sure.... please add the code from the following link into your .htaccess file:

I know you said you checked the theme for wp footer calll, but there is definitely some js missing from the footer - including the profile js...
any chance you can make the temp account you created for us a wp admin and an sp admin (forum - admins - manage admins)?

to do this you have to send me a PM with your IP adress, as wp-admin is protected by IP for security reasons.
I discovered an other problem, probably the same one, i cannot validate posts. i've set post to be moderated for new members, but i don't see anymore the menu allowing to : rename posts, move posts,validate posts, and so on.
EDIT : oh, and i had to switch back to 'fr_FR' because few other parts of the web site were not translated anymore when language set to 'fr'
