If it shows up as a separate page then this most usually suggests a script conflict of some kind that is stopping rhe AJAX calls from functioning normally. However, if that were the case I would usually expect to see other items not quite working as they should as well.
How about a link to your forum page so we can take a quick look at it?

You have multiple JavaScript conflicts via your wp theme or another plugin(s) - which needs to be fixed. This codex article explains what this means and what to look for:

Basically in your case both the main jQuery and the jQuery UI library are being double loaded from google. Because of this your site is also throwing script errors. These can usually be fixed fairly easily once the source of them has been located.
You also need to visit the forum toolbox > housekeeping and click on the reset profile menus and tabs task.
