Hello. Is there a way for the profile photos to be uploaded by members instead of inserting a URL?Screen-Shot-2012-09-30-at-1.49.42-PM.pngImage Enlarger

Perfect! I'm going to use the profile photos as a kind of mini-gallery so student users can represent themselves as artists by uploading their own images.  Thank you.

Whups. I spoke too soon. As the Admin, I should be able to add images to members' profiles, shouldn't I? I added them, and pushed the update button. It added the image to the profile in the editing page, but the image doesn't show up on the member's profile. I even signed in as that user, and couldn't get it to work. However, on my own account profile, it worked just fine.

well, must admit, never tested it as admin modifying other users profile... yes, that is possible in the standard sp profile to be an admin and modify a user profile... but dont think that was ever thought of in the file uploader plugin... will have to open a ticket to research this further...

ticket opened... and confirmed the issue...  going to take some special refactoring of the plugin since it originally assumed was always the current user...  forgot about admins on the profile...

So does the plug-in use the machine id to establish the identity of the user? Shouldn't I be able to sign in as the user whose profile I want to edit, and make changes?

You should be able to sign in and add as that user. Does he have permission to upload images?

Machine ID?

Like most wp plugins, it uses the wp user id of the currently logged in user. I just need to update the plugin in this case to use the user id of the profile user.

Not hard, but ripples through bunch of the plugin
