Oh. I wondered how it identified a user who hadn't logged in yet. Because when you arrive on the page, it says 'hi' with your username.

The forum uses cookies to identify returning members who have not logged in.

That is via a cookie. You can turn that off on forum - options - member options if you want.

Ok. New twist. My partner is the other administrator of the site. He is able to upload images in a post, and it shows up fine, but if he uploads an image to his profile page, it won't show.

Please explain what you mean by admin? Do you mean wp or sp admin? They are not the same thing. Wp admins are not so admins. You set sp admins on forum - admins - manage admins.
To upload photos, users will need permission to upload images.
