Question on which version + another

Three quick questions:

First – I know you have 5 beta out – but I’m wondering if I should be downloading 5 beta or the previous 4.4.5 – I want to install wishlist member with a forum, and yours was recommended. (I’ve used it before but honestly it’s been several years, so you’ve obviously made a lot of enhancements 🙂

Wondering which you recommend? (I’m not a programmer at all, but I can get around scripts for tweaking/customizing etc when I have to, so I’m not a newbie in that respect).

Second – if I was integrating with Wishlist, would it be better to be in the same folder as wishlist (i.e., members), or would it be okay to work say on a subdomain? (i.e., forum.site.com and members.site.com)? You guys know your script best, so I thought I’d ask.

Third – Would it be better to get wishlist THEN install simple press, or the other way around?

Sorry if they sound like kind of dumb questions…. it’s been a while since I’ve worked with a forum, and frankly I haven’t tried to integrate them in the past.

1 – I have to recommend V5 even if it is still in beta. Only makes sense. And it needs WP 3.3 to keep you up to date.
2 – As far as I am aware it will be necessary to host both WishList and SP on the same domain. Sure would make life a lot easier and you will need to share the same user base.
3 – I don’t think it really matters but maybe getting Wishlist in place before you get users signing up would be a good idea.

Thanks – I kind of thought it made sense to do V5, but I know sometimes its said “not” to do it in a live environment, so I thought I better ask. You guys know your script best 🙂

And thanks on the others. Yes, I’ll be using WP 3.3.

We have the odd fairly minor bug coming up but we are able to usually respond pretty fast with fixes. We have been using V5 here on this site for over three months now.
