Good morning,

Hope you will be able to help. Since installing the latest theme update the quote button is no longer working. I have tried deactivating most plugins and testing and used the default theme but still seems to be malfunctioning. The address is http://www.landlordreferencing.....uk/discuss

Look forward ot any advice you can offer.

Edit...

The issue only appears to be happening when using the SimplePress TinyMCE Editor, when pressing quote the page autoscrolls and opens the editor at the bottom as usual however the quoted text doesn't appear and you can no longer scroll up. When looking at the options in the forum admin area there is also some kind of visual conflict as the SimplePress menus on the left are expanded and won't collapse. I uninstalled the plugin, downloaded again from SimplePress and reinstalled but same problem.

 Edit...

Fixed, Javascript conflict with a plugin named TheThe Image Slider

what kind of upgrade???  simple press? if so, from what version to what? sp plugins?  more info please...

you do have a js issue regarding jquery on your site, so could be related...  When quoting, I get about 50 jquery errors...

do you have any plugins or wp themes that add buttons to tinymce?

actually, it looks like you have a plugin or wp theme misbehaving and not following wp standards... its loading its own version of jquery:

<script type='text/javascript' src='https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.4/jquery.min.js?ver=1.6.4'></script>

and a quite old version at that.... it should just be loading the version of jquery that comes with wp... otherwise, issues like this arise...

see:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

If I had to guess, its that collapse o matic plugin...

Thank you for your reply.

I hadn't refreshed my screen so hadn't seen your post and just edited my original.

I just offer basic assistance to this site owner and they have found all sorts of plugins and the Javascript is a bit of a nightmare but I haven't the skill level or time to go through them all and fix them so find it's a case of cleaning up when issues like this happen.

Thanks for your help.

Hi , as edited in first post, it was a conflict with a plugin TheThe Image Slider. I have disabled it and all is working fine.

Thanks for your help.
