I want to display recent forum post and its comments on the home page.Please assist .

Not quite sure what you mean by "and it's comments" but there are various ways to get a listing of recent or today's posts or 'hot' topics etc., with the use of the template tags plugin. See here for information: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....gs-plugin/
This plugin also includes the recent posts widget...

thanks for the response , what my need is to display most recent and its reply in the home page .Please see the attachment.I want to dispaly it with the same look and feel of a forum page.

We don't offer anything 'out of the box' along those lines I am afraid - and it would, actually, need quite a lot of crafting. It would need the SP theme template and styles loaded. Doable but not a quick task. We have no such plans currently.

could you please help me in copying the sp template to the home page ? I realize that sp functions wont work out side the templates .I want the recent topics and its replays there

sp functions can work outside of templates...
copying the sp template? you wan to show the recent posts on the front page?

thank you for responding .I want to display the recent post(title,content,etc ) and its comments in the home page.And unfortunately it is not possible using http://codex.simple-press.com/.....ent-posts/ this plugin.
I assume that this can be done by editing the sp templates .But i am not sure about it

I am a little confused here. If you want to show a recent or latest post there is no comment after it because a comment would become the recent post.
It sounds like what you want is the latest new topic displayed and any posts to that latest topic shown under it. That in itself brings up questions like what if there are 10, 20 or 50+ replies to the latest topic. How would that be handled?
