Support Forum
I know that forum pages are static but without cache it is really bad.
I have around 2-3 K unique visitors and had no problem with pages and CPU so far on WP posts.
Since I don't plan to have big forum I think clearing cache on every forum post would be enough.
So there is no way to reduce the load when using forum?
I can try to set Cache Timeout to a 15 minutes but with that user will not see his post when he make one for 15 minutes.
Thank you for quick replay.

Lets say for 2000 forum page views? What is your experiance? Tnx
2,000 page views in what amount of time? Per minute or day or online at one time? I have ran SP both shared and VPS and have not seen a big ssue with CPU overload on some fairly busy sites.

2000 views per day. As I wrote later. It is better without widgets on forum page. But still not sure since on loading forum page I see CPU spikes to 100%.
since sp does all dynamic page generation - remember all display is on a single wp page - how would you cache that page???
sp does a lot of internal caching... we get about 3000 page views a day here and run on vps with no issues... but as Brandon says, many folks run SP on shared hosting without issue... personally, my experience with shared hosting was once I exceeded 1000 page views, performance with WP degraded significantly without a forum...
limiting the number of forums on group view, the number of topics on forum view and the number of posts on topic view helps... the defaults in our themes are fine if you have not altered...
is your theme or other plugins loading a bunch of unneeded js an cs on the forum page when its not using it? a lot plugins and themes fail to control when they load some of their resources... a wp plugin like the plugin organizer can keep other plugins from loading their unused resources on the forum page...
we continue to work caching and performance... the upcoming 5.2 in a week or two will have some pretty good improvements in that it will now combine and minimize vast majority of our css and jss into single files for increased loading performance...
