I am a bit confused on how to get a registration button on the forum. I have looked here:

http://codex.simple-press.com/.....loginform/

and I am not sure where to put these codes? I thought it automatically appeared within the forum but I guess not.

Have you set up your website to accept and use members? WP Admin > Settings > General
