I would like to remove the Quicklinks "New/Recently Updated Topics" and "Select Forum". My website messed up after I tried delete the whole "Quicklinks" section in: wp-content> sp resources > forum-themes > mytheme > styles > mytheme. Can you inform me?

Also I would like to remove the 2 "Add topic" buttons, when in a thread. I only wish the "Add reply" buttons in there, is that possible?

Thanks for you help.

It would be wrong to try and remove these items via the styles/CSS file.

You need to remove these items in the template that controls the display. In this case the first ones you mention are in the spHead.php template (in the /templates folder of your SP theme). If you follow the logic of the display functions you should find what you want so you can remove or, better, comment it out.

The Add Topic button you will find in the spTopicView.php template.

if you need help with pinpointing a specific display element then shout and we can help further,
