I'm having an issue that I've seen in a couple of posts here where if you post a Reply to a topic it doesn't appear unless you logout and log back in again. The same is partially true when adding a new topic, although the topic appears to the poster after posting the topic but then if you exit out by moving to a different level in the forum, your topic no longer appears to be there. Again, logging out and logging back in fixes the issue.

The other topics all mention disabling any WP caching software (or at least making sure the forum is excluded from its configuration) however I'm not using a cache right now. I have the following WP Plugins only:

Ajax Event Calendar
Dynamic Widgets
Links Shortcode
SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam
Simple:Press
Simple Links
Video Thumbnails
WP User Avatar
WP User Control

I also have the forum combined caching in the General Options for Simple:Press turned off.

The forum can be found at: http://sda.masterplanfoundatio.....com/forum/

Any ideas on what I should look at next to fix the problem?

Sincerely,

Lenny Zimmermann

you may not think you are using a caching plugin, but you are... check page source

so wp super cache is active and running... and this most definitely sounds like a caching or CDN issue... We have not method whatsoever for delaying posting of a post...

Wow. Apparently WP throws me for a loop on how I expect it to work. I had that disabled (I had only put it in because one member was complaining about performance which I'm now convinced is a problem on his system) but apparently disabling it doesn't actually stop it. So I deleted it from my plugins entirely and everything seems to work as expected now. Go figure.

Thanks for the assist!

You really do need to follow the complete uninstall instructions with the caching plugins. There is much more to it then just deactivating and removal of the plugin code.
