Due to some problems with my default WordPress SMTP setup, which I've since fixed, users were never receiving the initial registration email. So none of my users are actually fully registered.
Is there a way to resend my entire user set a new registration email? I really don't want to ask everyone to sign up again from scratch.
Thanks.
I assume you mean the standard WP welcome email?
Since WP handles registrations and users, not much we can do, but perhaps a plugin for WP such as this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/.....ome-email/

That particular plugin is very old, and isn't functioning now. Users are reporting serious errors when they attempt to use it, so I avoided it.
Another plugin called "Unconfirmed" alleges to do the same thing and is more recent, but it failed to find any users on my site, so it's not working either.
I'll keep at it.
yes... users, registration and log in / log out are all WP... we stick a wp form in the forum header, but its still wp...
what do you mean by fully registered? they still should be registered, but may not have received their log in info.. if you have some sort of membership plugin, it may be inserting itself into the process...

I may not be using the write terminology, but since the registration email includes their password, the users show up in the list, but effectively can't post -- since they never received their password. I thought that was why the Resend Welcome Email plugin wasn't showing anyone as "registered" since they never logged in the first time. Dunno.
No, there's no membership plugin running. This is apparently a universal WP problem, and I can't find a current plugin to fix it.
Then I would grab one of those mass email plugins for WP (emails all users) and write a short note to them about what happened... say if they never received the email, to come to the lost password page (part of wp) http://yoursite.com/wp-login.p.....stpassword where they can reset their password and begin using their account...

I took your advice, Mr Papa. I found that only about 75 users were affected, so it wouldn't be too embarrassing to ask them to request a new password. If it had been hundreds, it would have looked bad for our site. I exported my users using a plugin, and sent an email with a link to request a new password.
I'm updating this in case someone else has the same problem in the future.
thanks for the update... and good luck!
