Hi,
I am using Unified Theme with winter overlay. I want to increase the font size to something similar to the ones used here. Increasing
$baseFontSize = '100%';
does not seem to have any effect. How do I increase the font size forum wide?

It does - at least for me it does.
Just to make sure... AFTER you make the edit to the overlay file - go to the forum admin > toolbox > housekeeping and click on the 'reset combined css cache' button. You may not need this but it does no harm to do it.
The also empty your browser cache. Most browsers can hang on to CSS stylesheets for quite a few page loads.

in the same file, a few lines down, you will see a $mainFontFamily declaration... right now, its just inheriting the font from your wp theme... but you can change it to what you want...
