We used to be able to resize media with the media icon so that an MP3 for example doesnt take up a whole page. How should this be done now? See the above link as an example of the problem.

are you saying the media button doesnt allow this anymore?? we have not changed anything overtly there except of course are using all wp built in stuff now...
