I was just curious about this menu that pops up on a right click. Obviously when windows does not like spelling, there is no way that I can see to see the suggested word. Is this right-click menu an option that can be turned off, or is there a spelling button?

I will have to leave this one for Mr Papa to answer - our diehard Window/PC user. He will be along later on...
On a Mac/OSX and Firefox I get correction options....

first, we dont add the right click menu - in fact we dont touch it at all... so it tells me you have another plugin or wp theme that is adding that to the right click menu for the wp editor since its not there by default...
are you running any other wp plugins that affect the wp editor? or you wp theme?

Thanks for that tip Mr. Papa and pointing me in the right direction, it was a setting in TinyMCE Advanced that I switched off.
