I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my forum topics are all getting indexed the same.
Here are my forums:
http://elitegamingcomputers.com/forum
I'm using the Yoast Plugin and the Thesis theme as well. So, those may be the cause of the problem.
So, for instance, if you do a google search for this topic:
http://elitegamingcomputers.co.....-i7-3770k/
You'll see that Google is listing the title as "Forums - Elite Gaming Computers."
I'd like it to list it as the topic name, so in this case "i5-4670K vs i7-3770K."
I have the following options selected in the Page/Broswer Title (SEO) options:
- Include forum name in page/browser title
- Include topic name in page/browser title
- Include non-forum page view names (ie profile, member list, etc) in page/browser title
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
probably canonical url... is it enabled in yoast? they may be confusing it...

Just to report back, I wasn't able to fix the issue with the solutions provided in the thread you posted. I know it was a problem with Yoast, because when I disabled it, the titles appeared as they should. Also, I think I could have gotten those fixes to work if I wasn't using the Thesis theme...
However, none of that really matters now because the latest forum upgrade fixed everything and now the title of the pages are showing up correctly.
Thanks guys!
ah, good news... thanks for the update...
