Hello all,
I spent about 9 hours working on my forum and got it looking perfect. I decided I would buy a membership to see the amazing plugins when I realized that the search menu was not working. The pre existing search menu leads to a 404 page and when I installed the search plugin the search menu still leads to a 404 page. Does anyone know what could be the cause?

Assuming versions of everything are all up to date then the main difference between the search and other forum urls (although it is not unique in this respect) is the passing of query variables. So taking a guess here we should look, perhaps, at that first.
So - can I start by asking after you click on the search button and get to the 404 page - what does the url look like? Can you paste an example here - just the part after the forum page name...?

The URL looks OK to me, although I'm sure if there's anything strange in there Andy will spot it.
We should just clarify a couple of things though. Are you running any re-direct or caching plugins? Also is everything up to date i.e WP, SP, all WP plugins and theme?
Might also be worth going to Forum > Integration > Page and Permalink, and resetting the forum permalink to see if that helps, as it's possible another WP plugin has overruled things.
