works great for me here... found it no problem...
are you sure you are using the search form properly? by default the search form only searches post content... but if you click on advanced search below the search input field, a little form opens up where you can change the search criteria, such as searching titles only, post and titles, etc...

Opening advanced to change search criteria is great, and works well. But anytime there is a general search form, it is just expected that it will search everything. Leaving out the titles just seems to be a like it's not really doing its job. If someone wished to only search titles, or only search content, then advanced would be a great place to achieve more limited results... but is there a way to get the main search form to skim through everything on the first try?
depends... since its a huge performance benefit to just search the posts, we opted for that as the default... and 99% of the time gives you the same result... why would you have a key word in the title, but not use it in the content???
that said, we can discuss any potential way to make the default optional... you could certainly use one of our filters, but it's not as straight forward as you are looking for...

There is a big difference in both performance and resource usage in searching just post content and in searching content plus titles. And the problem with having the latter as the default is that it seems the majority of end-users do not take the time to set the search options but just accept the defaults. We were finding on our own site here that if multiple searches were going on using default settings at the same time, then there was a performance hit for all users.
This change of the default has removed that problem and, as Steve points out, in the majority of cases the results will still be about the same.
I believe too that this is more or less in line with how most sites with a search capability would do things. The defaults would trigger the basic search. That is why it is named 'Advanced Search'.

Thanks for the info, if it is smother with just having the search find results based on content alone, then so be it. Titles are very important for search results. Don't believe it? Look at eBay. Huge case in point. However, you could always use Craigslist to make an opposing argument
We will probably offer the option to forum admins to decide via the template what the default option should be. I just feel we should make them aware, at the same time, that post/title searches are, by their very nature, quite resource hungry on a large and busy site.
