Nothing in the error logs, but this does come up on the console in developer tools..  I’m not too versed in all of this, so it may have nothing to do with it, but figured it was worth a shot..  Thanks

That’s a weird assortment! It’s possible that this could effect nonce checking – they come into play when using ajax calls after all.

Take a look at your forum admin > Integration > Page and Permalink panel. There is an option there to load JavaScript in the footer. Of not turned on can you do so and see if that helps at all?

Also – can I assume that your Simple:Press core and all SP plugins you may be using are all fully up to date?

Ok, I added javascript to the footer and everything is up to date..  This is about to drive me crazy..  Thanks so much for your help..

@mr-papa – I didn’t get the impression the problem is fixed so I think you may have been a little premature there 🙂 – What I don’t get is that I would have thought that if there was a problem with, say, nonce checking then it would not be in just one or two places. What about mod-security? Do you think that could play a part?

@ruralinfo – Do you know if your host has mod-security turned on at your site and if so could you ask then to turn it off so you can test this without it getting in the way?

I currently have an email in to my host asking them to turn mod-security off.  Will update soon.  Thanks again for your help..

did you ever check forum – toolbox – error log as well??  your host should be able to help with the php error log..  I would suggest clearing it out then causing the error to occur… then grab the log…   that should be a small file… you can attach it to a PM and send it to yellow swordfish and Mr Papa…

We need to know what action is causing that security warning… this is a lone report…

can you give us a link to your site and if needed some temp credentials on your site so we can post and see if its in the ajax response of the browser?  if guests can post just a link works… if we need an account please PM it to both yellow swordfish and mr papa with a link to this topic so we can correlate it…

well the bad news…  when I post, I dont get any security warning.. posts fine and moves on…

does it only happen to some users?  only in specific browsers?

is the wp theme up to date?  its using a slight old version of bootstrap…  and you do seem to have some bootstrap errors (though they have never caused a security warning)…

Did you try adding thanks to another post?  That is when it happens.  Or do you mean you tried the thanks and it worked for you?  

I’ve had a few users complain about it and some say it difficult to close..
