I changed my theme which fixed my image/file upload problem from this topic
Now the security pop up on the thanks is back :O
This is driving me crazy and I am sure I am driving you crazy over it..
well, this sure sounds like caching… it cannot really be random… and caching plugins?
so when you put theme back, did it break the uploader again?
do you use the combined js cache on forum – options – global settings? if so, try going to forum – toolbox – housekeeping and clearing the combined js cache…
and one other thing to try since its coming and going… deactivate the simple press plugin on the wp plugins page (dont uninstall)… then reactivate it… it could change the sequence wp queues things..
I don’t use any caching plugins.. My hosts handles all of that on their end.
Yes, when I reinstalled my previous theme, it broke the uploader again, so I have the new theme active.

Tried deactivating simple press and reactivating. Still have the security popup when adding thanks to a post.
I actually have turned off post thanking but my users aren’t happy. But they might just have to get used to using the post rating thumbs instead.
It just has me baffled, but I guess it could be a problem with my host’s caching system.. Not sure..

what does that mean? are they caching your wp pages??? is this wp engine?? have you talked to them?

It is Flywheel managed wordpress, just like wp engine and they do all the caching on their end. I have contacted them but they insist it is not on their end..
can they turn off the caching? even if just temp to test… or for specific pages?
I have decided to change hosts soon. I think it is causing problems with not just the forum, but some of my other websites.
Once I get that done, I will update here to see if things are different.

We have really been trying to work out why you would get this problem and found no logical answers whatsoever. Please do let us know when you are up and running at your new host and how things progress.
Just wanted to update on this. I migrated my website to a new host and the post thanks works perfectly. No security pop ups so far. I am going to see how it does for a few days, but I think (hope) changing hosts did it. I needed to leave that host anyway.. Too expensive for what I got from them. Thank you so much for all of your help with this. I truly appreciate it.
