SEO titles and meta descriptions not reflecting my selections

Hi all,

When I do a search for my site's forum pages (here), the titles and meta descriptions don't reflect my selections in the Components > SEO page of the simple-press admin panel. Specifically, I have "Include topic name in page/browser title" selected under "Page/Browser Title (SEO)" and "Use custom description on main forum page only, use forum description on forum pages and use first post excerpt (120 chars) on topic pages" under "Meta Tags Setup." Generally, though, every page yields the exact same title and meta description.

I suspect that my entries for the SEO Details on my Forum page in the Wordpress admin panel may be overriding any options selected in the simple-press admin panel. If that is the case, would removing any and all SEO Details in the Wordpress admin panel for the Forum resolve the issue?

Thank you for the help!

As I understand it then yes - that would be the case. If Steve notices I am wrong then he will almost certainly add a reply.

I use all in one seo and disable it on the forum page. Maybe that might help. Do a forum page source view and see if you can see your meta description and title tags in it. If you can see them the crawlers can to.

seo is everything. without it a site is hoplesly lost in the cyber jungle. i have learned with sp and different sites its best to modify seo settings and view page source to check whats showing. esp with the permalink display settings.

Thank you both for the kind help/advice!

FidoSysop: Did you mean you disable all-in-one-seo for your forum page? (I assume by entering the page ID or URL--not sure which should be correct--in the "Exclude Pages" field in the all-in-one-seo options panel?) Unfortunately the plugin's FAQ page is pretty sparse...

Check the disable box on the forum page.
