I have not used Simple:Press in quite some time, but in the back of my mind I recall using shortcodes, on Pages, to control what view of the Simple:Press hierarchy I wanted to see on that Page. I can not seem to find this anywhere now, but it also seems as though there may have been a strategic shift on how shortcodes are now used in WordPress.
Trying to get back up to speed on all this...any help would be greatly!
No, afraid not... All the forum display is on a single wp page... of course, you can have direct links to groups, forums or topics...

No... as a link... again, ALL forum content displays on the single wp page... you cannot display certain groups or forums on different wp pages - simple press has never been capable of doing that..
so you could copy the link to the group or forum or topic (or other) and make a link out of somewhere... then when the link is clicked, the wp page the forum is on would load and go right to the location you wanted...

I'm not really understanding this. I have a similar question. I am creating course content and would like to have specific forums link and show on specific lesson posts. Are you saying this can be done with links that would bring the forum into the lesson? If so, how is this done?
@jamessi sorry, not following your question...
is everything you are referring to in the forum? or is it a mix of wp and sp?
is your lesson in wp or sp? if in wp, what part of sp would you like to bring in? are you asking if you have a lesson in wp, and then discussion on the lesson in forum, can you have them link together? couple ways, if so... one is just have the wp comments for a post use the forum posts... or two, have discussion in the forum and have a list of the recent discussion posts from the forum show on the wp post...
if other, sorry, could you elaborate?
