Support Forum
Hello Forum,
I am extending my portal to a Multisite functionality to offer more services (like a job board, discussions, chat etc, on seperate sites but with the same user, crosslinking etc) to enhance SEO and overview.
So far my Simple Press is installed on esportindustry.com/forum.
I would now love to Network Activate it, run the main forum on a network site like forum.esportindustry.com, but still use plugins like the "News comments to forum"-one on the main site. Is this possible?
Can e.g. all network site somehow share a unfied bulletin board that is shown in total on a network site?

yes and now... there is no built in functionality for that... each network site is its own completely unique site... that said, our api would certainly allow a plugin to 'aggregate' posts from the network sites and show them on the main site.. the plugin would have to query the individual sites and then display the results as desired...
on our wishlist has been thoughts of adding such functionality or creating that plugin, but we just dont have that many multisite users and such its priority is very low..

So this also means that you cannot run the post comments to forum posts plugin on one site and choose a forum from another site?
I basically only want to have a forum subsite which should not be the main site with the blog.

Offtopic: btw. at least on my S6 mobile the password reset email is broken. It doesn't show as html and the reset link is broken.

correct... if you blog comments are on you main site and the forum is on a network site, they cannot use blog linking together...
as I said before, the api will support that, its just not built in...
as to lost password, confirmed its generally working so will need more info (ie sp theme) and link... it works here and on test sites with my galaxy s6.... and that is a different topic, much, much better to open a new topic so it doesnt get lost...
