Hi Simple Press,
I am having issues when I update my files with Simple Press where it will deactivate itself and it gives me an error code as follows:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare sp_get_option() (previously declared in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/content/57/3872157/problem-with-post-edit-buttontml/uap/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/public/template-tags/deprecated.php:432) in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/content/57/3872157/problem-with-post-edit-buttontml/uap/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-primitives.php on line 98
Now when I deactivate the Events Calendar by Modern Tribe and then update Simple Press again it will become active again. Do you know if this error code is on Simple Press side or The Events Calendar side? It is the only plugins that I have that conflict with one another.
This Events Calendar is one that WishList recommended and I must have a calendar to post the numerous events we will be having in our community network.
I look forward to your response.

WordPress guide rules suggest that you prefix all php code functions with a unique identifier relating to your plugin and they suggest using the plugin name initials. In our case that equates to 'sp'. In fact we use 'sp_xxxx' where 'xxxx' is a function name. All function names have to be unique.
This means we have a function called 'sp_get_option'. And so does the Event Calendar plugin. It is the only other plugin that has ever clashed in this way.
Now I guess we did think that we had a prior claim to the function name due to us following the guidelines. But I actually thought I had been told that the Calendar guys had changed this some time ago so are you using the most recent, up to date version of their plugin?
