Hello,

Is it possible to insert simple press forum in an android app? I would like to have the topics in a listview. If i click an item on this listview it changes to the posts in it. I also would like to create new posts on the android.

well, we dont have an android app... but the forum displays and works fine on android devices (have one myself)... obviously you have to 'move' the screen around to see the whole thing...

we have plans for a more mobile friendly theme in the near future...  additionally, it works pretty well with the wp touch plugin for displaying on mobile devices... more enhancements planned on that too...

Are you having plans to develop an API system for the Java language?

No plans. What would that entail? and does it really require a
special/unique API? Sorry, not a java programmer...

Well, i would like to integrate the forum with the layout of Android. It shoul look something like this:

Here you can see the posts of a topic. This is done by letting the app reading the RSS feed from the forum. But there is one problem with this: It is not possible to create a new topic or a new post. So you can only read the forum but you can not interact. With an API it should be possible to access the database and read the topics and posts.

but there is already an API for doing that...  you just need to invoke it which would be hard from an rss feed...

really, you just want a simple theme that does what the rss feed does... not hard from an sp theme perspective...  remove the extra stuff... and you can even select a different theme in the admin for mobile devices...  its what we hope to work on real soon...
