Just curious, Is simple press usage of tags mostly for searching internally for other posts with the same tags?

I did a post with 3 tags and when viewing a page source of that post i didn't see the tags anywhere.

Just trying to determine if they are useful for site seo.

see the forum - components - seo admin panel...  the sp tags are useful in seo when used as the keywords for a topic...

tags are user defined, not necessarily from post content... in other words, just like tags in a wp blog post, you pick the tags you want to assign to a topic...  there are several suggest buttons that will suggest tags based on the post content...
