Hello, I have a bit of a random question. Actually I was on here before with a question I had and Yellow Swordfish was very kind to help me with it, thanks btw. I have another question about your beta, how do I ban users on my forum? Maybe I am just not seeing how to do it but I in the past have only used VB forum software, so I am a bit clueless as how to ban users with the beta. Anyone who can help me?

April create a new user group called banned, then go to permissions, create a new permission set called banned go through the permissions, then go to user group again then manage user groups and add your member. (User group - Permissions -User group) hope that is understandable.

Oh okay, so creating a new group, and with that banned group set permission to no access? So then adding members to this will ban them right? Then say the  ban is a week I just go back in and take them out and put them back into regular member group will allow them to come back right?

That should do it (thanks Tin Can).
Just watch out that you MOVE the user to the banned group not COPY them. Unless in Options > Member Settings you are only allowing members to be in a single user group in which case it will move them by default.

April also go to forum - Manage groups and forums/Add gobble permission sets (add permission sets), take a look in there  and yes to your last question.

Hi.. I'm installing simple-press for the first time.. I just got the latest full version and it's working on my site. How do I install version 5? I just uploaded all the new files to my plugins/simple-press/ folder, but my board still says it's using v4.5.1. I checked the Plugins section under my dashboard, but there's no upgrade links or anything like that .. am I missing something?

before moving to 5.0 make sure you are on 4.5... backup db... then remove the simple-forum directory and contents from your plugins directory... then upload the simple-press directory and contents (notice that the name has changed from 4.5 and earlier)... then go to wp plugins page and activate the plugin (you will need to since name changed)... then upgrade...

Omg, I thought I hit reply...guess not. cry Well I have another question, well actually two. When members hit the report button to report posts it says requested forum does not exist. Same thing happens when clicking on "view online activity" near the bottom. How would I go about creating and linking a forum to these?
