I have another question 🙂 Is there a way to specify which wordpress template file the forum uses?
I have it running on my site now, the address is http://www.blackwatergulch.com.....log/forum/
But, my site sidebar is always showing, I'd like the forum to take up the whole content area. So, I made a new template page called forum.php based on my usual template page just with the sidebar code removed, but I can't figure out how to get it to use this new page.
any ideas?
You probably need to add the special custom template header. See jere: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages - about half way down.

My forum is up and running 🙂
Hi, everyone
I used 4.5 a few weeks ago and was quite happy with it.
Judging from the bit I read, it seems the beta is pretty stable for 5.
"With 5.0, you will now be able to use the wp updater within the admin to update to new versions!"
So, I want to put it on a live site and just don't want to have to re-install from scratch - hence from this point on, from what I quoted, the upgrade path from beta to final release version will now all be automatic?
I gathered this from the quote, but wanted to confirm prior to install.
Hey folks!
Complete Green Horn here 😉
In my first round, I failed to install correctly. I will try again.
Quick questions:
Can I reverse the thread order? I want newest first.
It appears I can display Simple-Press output via a single post page?
The end game is to allow local news for http://TRCBNews.com
(dumping the Sports section)
I'm *blown away* at the signup process here! Bravo!
So far, I'm not allowing any signup for anything... beta to come.
It appears unlike BuddyPress (overkill for me) user signup goes into the WP users?
Great work here!
TIA to my stupid questions.
