forum - options - display settings to change thread order...

sp already displays on single wp page so dont understand your question...

sp is plugin for wp, so yes we simply piggy back on the wp users...

Cool stuff.

I was brain dead after a long day and only found you less than 24 hrs ago. My failure in install was a locked down WP. I got it this afternoon on Instant WP. Sweet stuff you got!

I'm using Headway Themes which is a WISWIG CSS theme environment. So the little Gem you got here should give me Single Page Posts it appears.

Turn off some stuff you already got, turn it on later so I'm a hero down the road.

Give me a bit to wrap my head around this stuff here and I'll make some How-To Videos for V5. I'm good at Video.

Thanks Mr. Papa!

Oh yes. help like that would always be most welcomed. As always with just a small team, we are always behind on the help and documentation!

Good to meet you. Yellow Swordfish!

I have a career in Docs. If you look in Amazon, my name last century was Tim Catura-Houser. Been Tcat Houser for 12 years.

I may be going out on a limb here, and I assume the need for Video is great too.

Can I ask about localization? The latest Camtasia supports Sub Titles via speech conversion from the audio track.

So the end game would be someone dubs a video already done, then talks in their native lang. This assumes Windows usage. A little training (about 1 or 2 hours) lets MS Speech do the heavy lifting of sub-titling, with just a little manual clean up for Speako's.

My research suggests English first, German 2nd. Then Italian, French and finally Spanish to cover the EU area. Russian is a great un-official language need.

A bit off topic, and Simple-Press completely ROCKS.

I don't need the overhead of a BuddyPress. BBPress is too limited. I feel like Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. SPV is just right!

As soon as I tried it on a test site, Bang. Single Page Post was it! Easy setup, great features!

I'll be studying for advanced concepts shortly. I would like to break down the Forums to multiple menu offerings.

In the case of TRCBNews, 50 states as groups looks like a bit of a long list for mobile devices.

(congrats on getting mobile in this re-do, BTW)

Today I saw another Build update, I don't even remember the numbers.  Are there releases notes for each build?  I would be interested to take a look at what have been changed before or after I apply a new build release.

Also, I tried looking which version of S:P this forum is currently running.  I found the little (i) info button at the bottom next to the © Simple:Press text and unfortunatly the version is not listed.  That could be a great addition.  When we visit another S:P forum we could take a look there and see what version it's running.  So are you currently running 5 beta?

Thanks

Tcat, yes some videos would be great!

SPQC, we used to output the version and build # but got deluged with requests for it to be removed... security by obfuscation, but the masses won out...  you can always see it in the forum admin toolbox...

No, we are running the 5.0 RC...

and you can read the changelog before updating...  from the wp dashboard - updates, like other plugins, when shown the available update, there is a link for more details that will open a popup window... one of the tabs in that window is a changelog...

its fairly new so we are just now starting to populate it (1 or 2 last builds only)... but will in all future ones too...

That's also what I was thinking...  it's ok.

I clicked but saw nothing.  I'll check again with next bluid/update.  Thanks!

P.S. weird, when I want to move the cursor around it's the page that's scrolling.   must use the mouse.  How come the cursor is blinking and the control is not on it?

P.S.2 no preview post button before submit?  Maybe it's in the options...  sorry for such raw question as I type.

Have *not* added SimplePress yet. Tried on early AM (after a long day 😉

however I (forgot) I  had run BulletProof on the site as a plugin, and No, no no! No new plugins for you!

So the security of bulletproof is good --- LOL!

I did install SPV here (local host) and know not why, my SQL corrupted....

Ran repair and one table gives me its best bugger off...

Could be *anything* as the install is on a USB key, hung on a Win 8 Developer Edition.

This weekend, I'll blow the key up and re-install. (InstantWP V.4.1)

and do RC 5 of SPV as step 2.

The EU site is a headway themes... latest greatest... Tablet/phone awareness just added, so anything is possible 😉

Why I am guest on responding to a email notification to read is because... ? Inquiring minds want to know!  laugh

Speaking of change log, I just visited the Toolbox tab then Change Log while exploring all the options and when I clicked it I got this error :

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /wp/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/admin/panel-toolbox/forms/spa-toolbox-changelog-form.php on line 54

The error on the changelog was just me being stupid. It is harmless and fixed next time around.

The cursor in the editor scrolling the window is a Firefox bug - at least that is what the Moxie people seem to be saying and there is evidence to suggest FF has a ticket open on it. It is driving us nots too.
