Hi,
I uploaded simpel press thro ftp to the plugin folder of wordpress. Afther that i clicked install on the back-end.
This messeage pops up : Simple:Press is being installed
Only nothing happens. I waited for about an hour and the forum is still nog installed.
Did press the install button about 10 times but it just wont install.
What could be the problem ?

What ftp tool did you use? We have had probpems with one or two corrupting files - notably FileZilla.

yes i did use fille zilla.
Should i delete simpel press and use a nother ftp client ?
And if zo wich one should i use ?

I think it would be worth a try yes.
As to which one I would just recommend NOT using a browser based one. There are many, many out there. personally I use Cyberduck which is available for both the Mac and Windows. It works for me.

I deleted and re uploaded again with cyberduck still the same problem.
Simpel press hangs at install.

then it might be that the javascript is conflcting with something else. Any chance you could briefly switch to the Wp default theme and try installing with that running?

After doing what? There is no WP theme being loaded. Is this after SImple:Press gets installed or something?

afther chaning to the twenty twelve theme.
How can i see that my wordpress install is good ?
I probaly know the problem. Ore atleas what caused the problem.
On this website i'm using a database from another website.
I did make a kopie of the database and uploaded it to my new website
I changed the wp-config.php file by adding this 2 lines of code :
define('WP_HOME','http://websitemakenforum'); define('WP_SITEURL','http://websitemakenforum');
And then i changed the data base details in the wp-config.php.
Did something go wrong by changing the database ?
