Sorry I know this is described somewhere but I can not find it.
I have a blank page in WP and wish to view the forum on this. What do I do?
Thank you in advance.

Not sure what you mean by blank page. are you saying that SP is not displaying on the page it created during install?

Try forum admin > Integration > Page and permalink panel. Down the bottom. Follow the popup help. See if that resolves it.

Hello,
I have tried to get my head around a whole heap of information & am still really unclear on how things work..I want to set up a blog through WordPress.com, the paid version where I have my own domain. I want to add a forum to my blog. I am wondering, can I use Simple:Press with a normal blog site, or do I have to register a blog with WordPress.org..? It says on their website the forums are only available with WordpPress.org..does that mean, as a feature provided by them?, or does it mean, full stop, no plugins for forums unless you have a your blog on wp.org..?
I'm sorry if this makes no sense, I'm a bit confused..

Thank you for any clarification you can provide me with here..!

To be honest I am not sure what is or is not allowed using wordpress.com. As it is free then I suspect that there may be a limitation on what plugins can be used but I am not sure. certainly the WP folks will be promoting the use of bbPress which is the wp forum plugin (as used on their support site).

I didn't even know there WAS a paid version of .com but if there is then I would think there should be no restriction on what plugins you can use.

Ok, thank you. I also sent them a message asking if I am able to use a forum & eCommerce on a WP blog site or whether there are restrictions, as in VIP accounts or whatever, so hopefully they will clear this up for me.

Yes, I know about the bbpress forum plugin through WP but I have read that it is a bit complicated & that yours is also a good plugin & easier to manage..being that I have no technical knowledge ease of use is big for me.

Interesting. bbPress is a much more basic forum - I am not sure how complicated it is to use however.
